This is a tool for making OSHIZUSHI, a traditional Japanese dish.
Made of natural Japanese cypress.
Since natural materials are used, there may be individual differences in size and color.
・Before first use
Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar to 1 to 2 liters of water and soak for 2 hours.
After 2 hours, wipe off the moisture with a dry cloth and dry in the shade.
*This process will help to alleviate the smell of cypress.
・Care method
This is a fat unique to the wood and contains cypress thiol, which has antibacterial properties. If you are concerned about it, please wipe it off with vinegar diluted with hot water.
After use, wash clean along the grain of the wood and hang dry in the shade.
* Please avoid drying in a dish dryer or direct sunlight as it may cause cracks or warpage.
* Microwave oven and dishwasher cannot be used.
